Her focus is on corrective exercise, exercise for weight loss and helping her clients to reach their goals in a timely and safe fashion without making them feel like they are killing themselves. Sabrina says, “I fix people and I love doing it!”
Sabrina’s personal story is that of success. She is a true inspiration. In November 2001, she weighed 291 pounds and wore size 26 clothes. She had gone to the doctor the day before Thanksgiving and was shocked when the doctor told her how much she weighed. She had weighed 276 pounds when she delivered her youngest child 2 years earlier and now was distressed to find she weighed 15 pounds. more.
At this point, Sabrina made the decision to take control of her body. She knew that she had been inactive and had bad eating habits. Sabrina had an elliptical machine at home and decided to start using it. She started out doing 20 minutes every other day and watching what she ate, but not dieting.
As she became more comfortable with exercise, she started to do Tae Bo. As she progressed, she found that she was now working out 6 days a week and enjoying it, AND seeing a difference in how she felt, looked and on the scales. By the middle of January, she had lost 18 pounds. At this time she started watching what she ate even more, eating more vegetables and fruit and less sugar, bread, pasta, rice and junk food as well as adjusting her portion size.
In March Sabrina started running. Three days a week, she did a 3 mile run/walk as well as continuing to do Tae Bo on alternate days. It was hard at first, but she found that she really enjoyed running. Sabrina has now completed a number of 5K and 10K races and has done 6 half marathons.
With all of this exercise and proper diet, Sabrina lost 50 pounds in 5 months and was wondering what was next. When she was trying out the Redmond Curves location, Sabrina noticed that they were hiring. She applied for the job and was hired the next day. She kept working out and watching what she ate and in another 5 months, she had lost another 70 pounds!!
Sabrina lost 120 pounds, 48+ inches and 12% body fat in 10 1/2 months and has maintained her weight loss for 5 1/2 years. She worked hard consistently and didn’t let anything stop her from reaching her goal.
Sabrina was so energized by her weight loss and lifestyle change that she decided she wanted to help others to reach their goals. So, she attained her NASM certification and is now working hard with her clients.
She loves to support, educate and motivate people, while making sure they have fun while doing it.
